PlayerSoft Technologies and Thunder Valley Casino Resort Announce Launch of Mobile Enrollment - Mobile Players Club Sign up System on the Apple iPod Touch

Lincoln, California (PRWEB) September 28, 2011

Mobile Enrollment was launched Sept 10 at Thunder Valley Casino Resort and is currently in use on the casino floor.

The product has an open design interfacing with the Casino Player Tracking system, transforming the players club sign up process from several minutes in front of a computer to just a few seconds anywhere on the casino floor. Mobile enrollment works on an iPod touch or Apple iPhone equipped with a specialized scanner and software to immediately enroll new players into the players club.

We are very pleased to launch this groundbreaking product with such a high profile, experienced operator like Thunder Valley, said Tony de Leon, President of PlayerSoft. The convergence of specialized software and advances in hardware technology finally make mobile sign up possible. Thunder Valley is the perfect operator to take full advantage of this added capability to market to and reward their players.

Small, lightweight and easy to use, Mobile Enrollment helps eliminate lines at the players club counter, improves customer service and improves data accuracy during the sign up process. It also features an offline mode which allows casino staff to take sign up capability to far reaching areas and off site events, adding even greater reach for the Players Club

We are pleased to be working with PlayerSoft and are thrilled to be the first in the Northern California market to add Mobile Enrollment as an amenity to our guests, said Kari Smith, Vice President of Marketing for Thunder Valley. This partnership allows us to reach more players while also providing faster, better guest service as we reward our loyal guests. Mobile Enrollment makes the player acquisition quick, easy, and accurate, allowing us to provide a better overall guest experience.

Pearson's Vocabulary Central App for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch Offers Grammar on the Go for Today's Texting Generation

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 9, 2010

R U able 2 rd ths? If so, you get an A+ in SMS (Short Message Service), today's communication method of choice for our texting and twittering tweens and teens. As this rapid fire messaging language has gained in popularity, however, many educators are questioning whether basic grammar and writing skills are being left behind. Pearson's Vocabulary Central app is designed to help reinforce these skills in entertaining ways, through interactive songs, trivia games, and flashcards, anytime, anywhere.

Vocabulary Central is available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch through iTunes for $ 2.99 in individualized editions for grades 6-12.

Students work with flashcards to build their understanding of specific vocabulary words. Each flashcard provides an explanation of the word, a model sentence, synonyms and antonyms, word families, and background information, all with accompanying audio. After practicing, students are able to earn points through the Quiz mode.

Once all flashcards have been reviewed within a series of lessons, access is available - for grades 6-10 - to videos featuring scrolling lyrics that provide musical and contextual clues to help students discover the meaning of the vocabulary words highlighted in blue.

Through the Vocab Trivia activity, students read word-related questions and choose the best answer. The faster the questions are answered, the higher the scores. If students wait too long, incorrect answers start to vanish, along with the chance to score more points.

"Vocabulary Central is designed so that students can work at their own pace to build their vocabulary skills, and have fun along the way," said Doug McCollum, Pearson's General Manager for Literacy. "It's the latest in Pearson's series of innovative apps for meeting today's on-the-go tweens and teens in their digital world."

Other Pearson Apps available for the K-12 age range include Grammar Jammers, which offers interactive animated videos to help make mastering the rules of grammar a fun, melodic, and memorable experience for learners anywhere, anytime. Additional Pearson apps for school are in the works for the 2010-2011 school year in the areas of Literacy, Science, and Humanities.

Speck Products Announces SpeckTone Retro Stereo Speaker System for iPod

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) May 30, 2006

Today Speck Products announced SpeckTone Retro- the first product in a line of fashion and performance focused speaker systems for iPod.

SpeckTone Retro looks like nothing youve seen for the iPod. The clean lines and nostalgic elegance of 1950s style makes a statement without replicating or competing with the modern, sleek look of the iPod itself. The all wood, sonically tuned speaker cabinet is finished with a high-gloss lacquered piano finish, a gorgeous high-end feature previously available only on speaker sets 5 times the price of SpeckTone Retro.

Until now, all the iPod speaker sets available looked very similar, said Specks General Manager Tim Hickman. SpeckTone Retro offers a unique and very cool look, different and more fashionable than anything on the market. Were excited to offer such a dynamic product with a hip personality, great sound and an affordable price.

Compact in size yet substantial in sound, the SpeckTone Retro rocks hard and loud with a 28 watt output, 4 subwoofer for pumping bass, and two 3 drivers. The analog circuitry inside completes the retro spirit and sound of the product, producing rich, deep tones and blowing away any and all competitors in the $ 150 price range.

SpeckTone Retro is available in 3 high-gloss lacquered finishes. Go totally retro with the signature green/brown color combo, keep it sleek and modern with the black-on-black, or pay homage to the classic iPod look with the white and silver SpeckTone. The integrated iPod dock supports iPod with video, iPod nano, 4G iPods (color and b&w), and iPod mini. iPod Shuffle or other portable devices such as CD players, tape decks or MP3s can be plugged in thru the 1/8 AUX jack in the back of the SpeckTone Retro. Product will begin shipping to consumers and retail partners on June 12, 2006 with an MSRP of $ 149.95. Consumers can pre-order now at http://www.speckproducts.com.
