RADAR Medical Systems, LLC, a leading provider of CTRM software to the medical community, announces the release of two new features that greatly enhance their Insure Communication platform. The One-Click Peer Review function eliminates time consuming peer review activities by using a simple process that meets best practice standards set out by the American College of Radiology. In addition, the company has rolled out an automated phone call feature using Interactive Voice Response (IVR) which securely sends voice messages created from alerts generated in the system to referring physicians.
Making our communication platform more powerful while keeping it very user-friendly is our main focus, states Jack Cornell CEO of Radar Medical Systems. Adding automated phone calls using IVR to Insure Communication takes the functionality to the next level. Cornell continues, At first look, it may seem like a nice-to-have feature, but after using it, you realize what a valuable time saving and efficient tool it is.
Using an automated platform to send alerts to referring physicians improves the caregiver communication process, which leads to improving patient outcomes. The Insure Communication platform makes it very easy to implement a standardized process that improves effectiveness and meets the Joint Commissions accreditation mandates for communication.
The process is simple for the clinician sending the alert. With a few mouse clicks, the alert is created and the system automatically generates the IVR message and initiates the call. Once the phone call is accepted by entering a unique code, the referring physician hears the message concerning the patient and then confirms receiving the message. As with all other alerts created in Insure Communication, such as secure SMS text or secure certified email, the communication is documented and permanently stored in a database.
We are also excited to offer our very easy to use peer review function. Through our experience in the field, weve found that many radiologists and other clinicians find it difficult to find the time to implement a peer review process. So, we set out to develop the functionality to meet best practice guidelines while making it a realistic option to fit within a normal workflow. Cornell adds, I think our One-Click Peer Review will be readily adopted by radiologists to easily meet the ACR standards.
Radar Medical Systems is dedicated to designing and developing easy to use, high functionality software focused on meeting the real needs of medical professionals. Adding both the automated IVR and peer review functions are in response to needs weve discovered from our users and the feedback received from the market.
Insure Communication is already one of the most cost-effective CTRM solutions available today; adding these two new features increases the value dramatically, concludes Cornell. Any facility using Insure will realize a strong ROI very quickly. We plan on continuing down the path of offering leading edge features at an economical cost.
