American Red Cross And Haroldsays Team Up On Be Positive Do Something Positive Day Blood Drive

Wilkes Barre, PA (PRWEB) March 3, 2008

In support of the Be Positive Do Something Positive Day on Saturday March 1, 2008 The American Red Cross blood services will hold a special blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. This special blood drive will be held at the Genetti's Best Western Hotel and Convention Center, 77 East Market Street, Wilkes Barre PA. The blood drive is being sponsored by HaroldSays as part of the International Be Positive Do Something Positive Day kick off

celebration on March 1st in Wilkes-Barre PA.

Harold Cameron, The Chief of Helping of HaroldSays, stated, "My life's mission and passion is encouraging positive thought and action everywhere and to everyone in the world." One way that he is doing that is by promoting the Be Positive Do Something Positive Day on March 1, 2008. One significant and potentially life saving way to do something positive is by donating blood. The theme of the blood drive for The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day is B+! Give Blood! Save a Life!

The American Red Cross relies on voluntary donations. Not only do people in hospitals in the Wilkes-Barre PA area depend on receiving the "Gift of Life", people in hospitals all across our nation depend on receiving blood. Every two seconds someone needs blood in this country.

"We encourage current and new donors to donate blood at the American Red Cross Be Positive Day blood drive," said Tony Ferlenda, Chief Executive Officer of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Region. "One donation can save up to three lives."

March is Red Cross Month. In celebration of the Red Cross month all presenting donors at the Be Positive Day event will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a tote full of American Red Cross goodies.

Also at 11 a.m. Mark Hoog, acclaimed children's author and motivational speaker will appear at the Barnes & Noble Wilkes-Kings College Bookstore, 7 South Main Street, Suite 1, in Wilkes Barre, PA.

He will appear at the event to read his book "Your Song" to the children who attend. He will be available after the book reading to talk with the children and their families as well as to sign books. A family of a victim of bullying will be at the bookstore passing out handmade "positive" message bookmarks and children will be able to create their own bookmarks as well.

At 1 p.m. Mark will be speaking at The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day rally at the Genetti's Best Western Hotel and Convention Center in the ballroom. The rally is free and is open to the general public. In his inspirational and potentially life-transforming presentation, Mark will make those in attendance laugh, he might make them cry, however, he will most certainly make them think about what matters most in life.
